- Prepare patients for catherization, angioplasty, pacemaker implantations etc.
- Assist doctor with stent implants, cardiac pacemakers, defibrillators and more to diagnose heart disease.
- Review patient documents, perform assessment, completers required documentation in the Electronica Health Record.
- Maintain and operate equipment
- Monitor patient health status. Performs and documents ongoing assessments including observation, physical examination, laboratory/test results, and patient response to procedural intervention
- Perform proper after procedure cares to include provide patient/family education before discharge.
- Must keep patient calm and relaxed during procedure where they're required to be awake.
- Administer appropriate medication as needed.
- Texas RN licensure without restrictions (required)
- 2 years of RN nursing experience (required)
- AHA BLS (CPR) certification (required)
- AHA ACLS certification (required)
- 1 year of RN Critical care experience (preferred)
- Previous Cath Lab RN experience (preferred)
